MALAWI
Malawi is the smallest of the four countries but has over 12 million people.The country is divided into three Regions and SOWERS is now working in all Regions. Chichewa is the main language and most Seminars are conducted in Chichewa. The work is led by a National Board and National Coordinator. Paul and Godfrey are two full time Sowers in Malawi with assistance from senior Level 4 Sowers Steve and Barnet.
WORKER PROFILES
PAUL - Paul and Mercy live in Blantyre, Malawi with their four children. Paul is the National Coordinator for SOWERS in Malawi and coordinates the work in the Southern Region. He has been trained to Level 6, the highest level in the SOWERS Program. Paul has graduated from Bible College and is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church of Malawi. He also has a diploma in Business Administration.
Before joining SOWERS full time, Paul was the chief translator on the Sena Bible Translation project. He uses a motor bike to visit teams and Sowers in the Southern Region and public transport when he needs to travel further.
GODFREY - Godfrey and Jynne live in Lilongwe with their three small children. Godfrey works full time with SOWERS Malawi. He coordinates the work in the Central Region of Malawi and has begun the development of the work in the Northern Region. Godfrey has been trained to Level 6, the highest level in the SOWERS Program and is an ordained Baptist minister who has a Bible College diploma and a BTh degree. He uses a motor bike to travel in and around Lilongwe and when he travels further afield he uses public transport
